Sweatshop - Deadly Fashion is a short 5-episode documentary series that follows three Norwegian fashion savvy young adults on a trip to Phnom Pehn, Cambodia to see the faces behind the makers of their clothing and get a glimpse of their day to day life.
The series does an excellent job of tastefully yet honestly highlighting the realities of the lives of the people sewing clothes for large chain fashion companies. Quite quickly the three Norwegians go from carefree to utterly disturbed by the many facets of injustice that workers in the textile industry must endure.
Each episode is less than 15 minutes and free to watch. The content is relatable and thought provoking! We recommend taking some time to watch the series to learn more about what life is like for large-chain garment workers in Cambodia.
